Colin's surgery that is! I was so nervous until Sara called this morning to say that they were on their way home. He was a trooper! Graham Cracker loves her boy! I hope your ears are feeling much better.
Harry and I went to Hollywood Studios on Tuesday. Got into the first "American Idol Experience" show at 11 and loved it so much that we watched it again at 4 p.m. Three singers compete at each show, and the winner goes on to compete at the 7 p.m. finale. The day's winner (voted on by the audience) gets a "golden" ticket to be the first in line to try out at any American Idol audition. Talk about your fast pass!
Had dinner at the Brown Derby - fantastic as usual. Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas ate there on February 9...how is it that I NEVER get to see celebrities? Rats!
Going to Mikados in Melbourne tomorrow with Harry, Eunice, Jack, Carol and Charles. Carol and Charles have never been there but love Japanese food as much as the four of us do. Should be fun.

Just my luck!!!!!
I can't believe it - Harry and I were planning on going to Hollywood Studios on Thursday, February 12, however, the temple on my glasses broke and we decided to go another day. Headed off downtown to see if I could get them fixed but no one carried my line of Joan Collins glasses. We stopped by Jack and Eunice's house to see if they had any Super Glue - no luck so we spent some time with them. Came home to find that we had some glue in the kitchen cabinet and Harry fixed them so well that I haven't had any trouble.
Just my luck!!!! There's a picture in the Florida Today paper showing all 7 American Idol winners at Hollywood Studios. They were there on Thursday for the soft opening of the American Idol Experience - I found out that Paula Abdul and Ryan Seacrest were also there! I could just kick myself for not fixing the glasses that morning and going on to Disney!!!!

Long time
It's been a while since I posted on here. Groundhog's Day (my birthday) has come and gone - 57 years - it doesn't seem that I'm that old some days, but other days it seems as if I'm WAY, WAY up there! I remember when I was 16 - I wanted to be older...my mom told me that I shouldn't wish my life away...now I know what she meant. Where did the time go? Have I used it wisely? The answer from me would be NO! My baby girl is 30 - where did that time go? I wish that I could get the years back from the time Sara was born until she got married. Boy, would I do things over again! I look at her and wish that I could have been the mom that she is to Caitie and Colin. I know that she loves me, but what will her memories be when I'm gone...will they be good or bad?
Caylee Anthony's public memorial service will be Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Orlando. The church holds over 5,000 - I wonder how many people will be there. Security will be tight...no purses, cameras, cell phones, etc. Everyone will have to go through a security thingy and the police will have the right to decide if you pose a risk and not let you in. I'd like to go. That little girl was precious - she deserves a memorial service. I can't stand to look at any footage of Casey Anthony and her attorneys. I know that you are presumed innocent until proven guilty, but in my mind she murdered her daughter.
Those two cutie-patootie children that are in the picture on my blog are my grandchildren (in case you didn't know.) I miss you Caitie and Colin! You make your graham cracker (Grammy) very happy.
Better end this on a happy note - it's suppose to be in the 70's tomorrow - no more 40's for Titusville! Yea!

Where everyone knows your name...
No, it's not the Cheers bar, but it's Steve's Diner! Harry and I love this place...everyone is soooo friendly...we ate there this morning for breakfast. Normally we eat there for lunch or supper, but we had finished going to yard sales and were HUNGRY! Yes, Sara, your dad actually went to some today! Finally saw April...she had changed to the morning shift because of her kids' school. There's Jackie, Lisa, Joyce and Alberta who agravate Harry to death...course he loves every minute of it. Oh, and don't let me forget Mr. Steve (that's what Caitie bug calls him) whose name is really John. The bug even has a t-shirt from Steve's...they always talk to her when she's down here. They even brought BEAR a high chair for him so he could sit at the table...now wouldn't you say that's going above and beyond your job as a waitress?

FINALLY!!!
The Delta IV Heavy finally lifted off tonight at 9:47 p.m! It was awesome to watch - you can see the launches from our balcony. It lifted off with nearly 2 million pounds of thrust which lit up the sky. After 3 glitches it was a go for the 1st launch of 2009 - btw, for those of you who want to know, this payload supports the military's national defense mission.
I love watching these rockets, but especially watching the shuttles. Any shuttle launch is a treat, but the ones that I love most are the ones that go up at night. Unbelievable! Next one is February 12.
Went to Steve's (my favorite diner) tonight for supper with Elmer and Margie Hamilton and Marci Workman They arrived today - will be spending two weeks down here in Barbara and Larry's old condo. We'll probably play lots of dominoes and euchre while they are here!
Speaking of Steve's - we're sitting at our table waiting on Lisa to take our order - very crowded tonight. Harry looks over at another table and tells me to look at the girl that's sitting there with her family. She dead on looked like Casey Anthony! Short hair, similar face, etc. and her daughter was just about the age of Caylee. Kind of freaky. I mentioned this to Lisa and she said that she had noticed the resemblance as well as several people that had seen her at Steve's before tonight. The gal needs to get a new 'do!

HAPPY 2009!
Goooooooo Gators! That was a great game last night - no, that was an awesome game! I thought that it would be a high scoring one, but realized in the first quarter that the win would probably be a close one. My boys outdid themselves - Tebow, Harvin, Pouncey twins, Demps and Black - what an interception! I LOVED it that Tebow got a penalty for doing a gator chomp...that's probably the first time that he's ever done something like that in his football career.
I know what you're thinking! I'm suppose to be for the Kentucky Wildcats - well, I just like the GATORS better!
Went out curbing last night before the game - nothing, however, I did see plenty of people in their driveways having GATOR parties. Firepits as well as barbecue grills were going - wonder if I could have joined some of them!
I miss you Caitie and Colin! Yes, Sara, I miss you too! Love you always.
