First of all, let me say that I have always wanted to blog about my days, weeks, etc. but have been reluctant to try it. But now I'm here, rants, raves and all!!!
Our Thanksgiving tradition starts by watching the Macy's Parade (we normally leave in the middle of it) and then head to my husband's hometown of Brooksville, Kentucky to be with his family. My sister-in-law, Barbara, now hosts the gathering since the death of their parents. Dinner is always scheduled for 1 p.m., however, it never starts on time due to someone being late (Ryan and Carey this time) but that's okay because everyone is busy talking, taking pictures or whatever. Some of the kids were "creating" art pictures in the guest bedroom/craft room while some were downstairs playing pool and basketball - my granddaughter, Caitie, and her cousin, Georgia Kate, played beauty salon with Coy (that's another story.)
We had a great time (all 33 of us). Now not all of those are my immediate family, however, I love everyone of them since I've been in the family - and that's 34 years.
Stay with me - I'll get the hang of this! Thanks Sara (my beautiful, talented daughter) for helping me with one of my ongoing projects!
